PMP - Professional Poster

At this end of this semester, second year students at Birmingham City University held an event at the university titled 'Into The Future'. This event was our opportunity to showcase our skills and interests as media professionals. In order to do this we produced posters which would display our skills as well as theoretical work we have produced.

Below is the final edition of my poster.

Overall, I was happy with the final result of my poster however after taking a step and looking back at it whilst it was on display I realised I could benefit greatly from taking it upon myself to refine my design skills and familiarising myself with design software such as Indesign. This skill is something I would like to use in work I produce in the future as well as any professional projects I complete.

MED5103 Professional Media Practice: Poster Presentation.

As part of my Professional Media Practice module I am required to create a poster which will display any theoretical work I have produced over the course.

Although I have not yet completed it, I have chosen to create a poster displaying the basis for my research for my dissertation. This will he the study of representation of women within the Marvel Universe.

Here is the first draft of my poster:

Mela loves London

Last week, I had an interview for online fashion retail store, Yumi International to work as a product specialist for one of the brands they sell.
I was successful in my interview and I will be working for the Mela loves London brand in New Look stores in the Midlands.

I believe this will be a great opportunity for me as, although it will not relate to media whilst I work in stores, there is opportunities to progress and gain work experience in the companies PR department.
